A happy employee is a resource that every organization would want to have. Not only does a happy employee feel more motivated within the workplace but he/she will also act as an ambassador for your brand, where you cannot do anything.
The right employee will make sure that your brand succeeds at whatever you are doing, and that you are able to get the kind of work you want out of them.
While happy employees are craved by all organizations, not many organizations are willing to put in the kind of work that is required to make an employee feel good within their workplace.
Most employers feel that they can keep employees just by giving them monetary benefits every once in a while. This doesn’t hold true, as money can please employees to a certain extent.
Here we look at some of the other factors that motivate employees more than money can:
Work Parties
More than 50 percent of all employees working for you would want to be part of work parties. Why is that so? Not because work parties are boring and they don’t have any say in the planning. Isn’t this just how you have been planning your work parties?
Most organizations spend a nice amount of money on work parties without factoring in for the most important factor, the opinion of your employees.
Don’t just throw a work party without taking in the opinion of your employees. Instead, make them part of the process and take their feedback and opinions. Make the work party a success by including some champagne and other details that your employees would crave to have.
Create work parties that make employees excited. Make sure that employees don’t miss out on the parties and that they feel satisfied and happy with it.
Recognition
This is a small effort that takes almost no monetary effort from you at all. All you need to do is to recognize and praise your managers for the work they are doing on a regular basis.
A recent survey in this regards found out that 67 percent of all employees are motivated by the praise they get from employers, while 63 percent are motivated through the attention from leaders. The same survey found out that 60 percent of employees were motivated by cash bonuses. This just goes to prove how recognition can work better than cash bonuses in making your employees happy.
