Your Camden County contact
“South Jersey employers don’t need a 1-800 number. They need someone who will sit in their conference room in November and explain the renewal line by line.”

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS CONSULTANT · SOUTH JERSEY
Mike works directly with employers across South Jersey on plan design, carrier negotiation, and open enrollment — and picks up the phone when something goes sideways mid-year. One named consultant owns your account, not a rotating service queue.
Who we serve here
Camden County’s economy, sector by sector.
Healthcare and higher education anchor this county, but the employers who call us are usually the 10-to-500-person companies working alongside them — the suppliers, contractors, practices and firms that feel every renewal directly.
Healthcare & life sciences
Private practices, specialty groups, home health, behavioral health, and long-term care across the county.
Anchored by Cooper University Health Care, Virtua Health, Jefferson Health New Jersey and the Coriell Institute.
Construction & the trades
Plumbing, HVAC, electrical and mechanical contractors — including PHCC member shops with access to our association plan.
Seasonal headcount swings make eligibility tracking and ACA measurement periods a real risk here.
Logistics & distribution
Warehousing, trucking, and third-party logistics along the I-295, Route 42 and NJ Turnpike corridors.
High turnover means COBRA notices and new-hire waiting periods have to be automated, not manual.
Manufacturing & industrial
Metal fabrication, plastics, food production, energy technology and recycling operations.
Camden’s industrial base includes Holtec International, EMR, ResinTech and Campbell’s.
Professional & financial services
Law firms, accounting practices, insurance agencies, and financial services offices.
Cherry Hill and Haddonfield are the region’s professional-services core — TD Bank and Archer are headquartered here.
Retail, restaurants & hospitality
Main-street businesses in Collingswood, Haddonfield, Westmont and the Cherry Hill retail corridor.
Mixed full-time and part-time staff is exactly where ACA affordability testing goes wrong.
Our process
Five steps, one renewal year.
Most Camden County employers meet their broker once a year, in a rush, three weeks before renewal. That is not a strategy. Here is what working with us actually looks like — the full version is on our process page.
STEP 01
Discovery
We review your current plan, claims history, contributions, and where your people actually live and work in South Jersey.
Week 1
STEP 02
Benchmark
We compare your spend and plan design against similar employers in your industry and headcount band.
Weeks 2–3
STEP 03
Strategy
Fully insured, level-funded, self-insured, or captive — we model the real numbers side by side and recommend one.
Weeks 3–5
STEP 04

Carrier negotiation, enrollment on Employee Navigator, on-site employee meetings, and every required notice filed.
Weeks 6–10
STEP 05

What we do for Camden County employers
Benefits, HR, and compliance under one roof.
You get a named consultant who knows your plan and your people — not a service queue.
Core
Group health insurance
Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability, designed around your workforce and your budget.
Cost control
Level-funded plans
Pay a steady monthly amount, get money back in a good year, and finally see your own claims data.
Cost control
Self-insured & captives
Own your claims risk on your terms, or share it through a captive to smooth out volatility.
Cost control
Pharmacy & PBM strategy
Transparent PBM contracts and specialty drug management — usually the fastest line item to move.
Risk
Compliance
ERISA wrap documents, Form 5500, ACA 1094-C/1095-C filing, COBRA, HIPAA, and New Jersey’s own layer of rules.
Capacity
Fractional HR
Handbooks, onboarding, leave administration, and day-to-day HR support for teams without an HR department.
Service
Employee advocacy
Your employee calls us, not you, when a claim is denied or a bill looks wrong. We chase the carrier down.
Systems
Benefits technology
Employee Navigator enrollment, consolidated billing, and payroll integration so multiple carriers feel like one.
Long game
Corporate wellness
Programs that improve employee health and bring claims — and therefore renewals — back down over time.

New Jersey specifics
New Jersey adds its own rulebook.
Federal compliance is only half the job in Camden County. New Jersey layers on leave, sick time, and continuation requirements that catch out-of-state payroll providers constantly — especially for employers with staff on both sides of the Delaware.
If that describes you, read both sides: New Jersey benefits & compliance and Pennsylvania benefits & compliance.

Questions
Answers for Camden County employers.
Still have one? Call (877) 355-6070 and talk to a consultant, not a call center. Or send us a message.
How small does my Camden County business have to be to get a group plan?
New Jersey’s small group market generally starts at one enrolling employee beyond the owner and runs through 50 employees. Above 50 you move into the large group market and the ACA employer mandate applies. We place plans across that whole range and will tell you which market you actually fall into.
We have employees in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Does that complicate things?
It is one of the most common situations in the Camden and Philadelphia region. It affects carrier network choice, state leave and sick time rules, disability contributions, and payroll tax reciprocity. We handle both states directly, so nothing falls between them.
What is a level-funded plan and would it work for us?
Level-funded plans let you pay a steady monthly amount like a traditional plan, but you keep a share of unused claims funds in a good year and you get access to your claims data. They typically work well for healthier groups of roughly 25 to 100 employees. We model it against your fully insured renewal so you see the actual difference. More on level-funded plans.
Does switching brokers cost anything or disrupt my current plan?
No. Broker commissions are already built into your premium whether or not your broker is doing anything for you. Changing the broker of record does not change your plan, your carrier, your rates, or your employees’ ID cards mid-year.
When should we start working on our renewal?
Ninety days before your effective date at minimum, and 120 days if you want to seriously evaluate level-funded or self-insured options. Most January 1 groups should be starting in September.
Do you handle ACA reporting and the New Jersey state filing?
Yes. We track full-time status, test affordability, and prepare and file Forms 1094-C and 1095-C. New Jersey also has its own state individual mandate reporting requirement, which is separate from the federal filing and catches employers off guard every year. You can estimate your exposure with our ACA penalty calculator.
How are you compensated?
In most cases through commissions that are already built into your insurance premium. Where a fee-based arrangement makes more sense for your group, we say so upfront and put the scope and cost in writing before you commit to anything.
Where are you located and do you meet in person?
Our office is at 54 Friends Lane in Newtown, PA — a straight run down I-295 from Cherry Hill. We meet Camden County clients on site for enrollment meetings, renewal presentations, and employee education sessions.
No cost, no obligation
