Your Benefits Broker Should Save You More Than They Cost.

JS Benefits Group delivers measurable, documented savings through smarter plan design, aggressive carrier negotiation, and compliance that prevents costly mistakes.

The Numbers Are Staggering.
Healthcare costs are projected to rise 7–8% in 2026, yet 67% of employers renew without ever shopping the market — because carriers count on that inertia. We don’t let that happen. From level-funded plan design to ACA compliance, our clients typically save 15–30% in year one — and every service is included at no additional cost.

A Pennsylvania manufacturer with 145 employees saved $187,000 in year one. A New Jersey firm avoided $94,500 in IRS penalties. A Delaware healthcare organization reduced premiums by 22% — while employees actually preferred the new plan.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of Remote Workers

Remote workers are employees that work from within the home and use their laptops to get the work done. Remote workers are not limited by the location of your office. For example, if you operate from one town, there is no steadfast rule to hire a remote worker from that part of the state. You can go outside and hire workers from other towns and states as well.

This new form of hiring has certain drawbacks and advantages, and we will be looking at them to clear things here.

Advantages

Remote workers bring many advantages with them, and we will look at these first to get a basic idea of how you can benefit from hiring them.

Reduces Employment Costs

Employment costs include all the costs that you incur for looking after the employees within your workspace. You look after the maintenance and other attributes of the workplace and provide all employees with a running workstation and system. This can be costly, which is why remote workers are cost effective in saving you from this burden.

Increased Efficiency

Going to and fro the office space can be a big hassle for almost everyone working in an office space. This requires commuting through traffic and having to go through a lot of pressure on a routine basis. Once the workers do arrive, they are all too tired to be efficient. Having remote workers would mean that they work from the comforts of their home, without having to go through the hassle of commuting.

Work Anytime

One of the best aspects for remote workers of doing this is that they can work anytime, from anywhere. They are not bound by the 9-5, 8 hours shift and they can work easily according to their own schedule.

Disadvantages

There are many disadvantages associated with remote workers, and here, we will be also be looking at some of these cons.

No Connection with Colleagues

It is necessary for workers within an organization to have communication with each other. This communication is not only necessary for handling projects, but also for fulfilling the social needs that we have among us. Organizations that don’t have comprehensive in-house software are made to suffer from limited communication in this case.

External Interference

External interference can be a major hassle for people working from home. Many people working from home are unable to follow deadlines and pay attention to what they are doing, in a way that they would have done while inside an office. This tends to impact performance when the organization wants attention to detail.

Thus, remote workers tend to have their advantages, but they come with some drawbacks as well. It is pertinent for every HR department to keep these drawbacks in consideration while hiring said employees.
